Merge Etsy and Squarespace Sales Data for Multi-Store Reporting
Reporting on multiple storefronts only works cleanly once every store's export uses the same column layout.
Why Etsy and Squarespace exports don't line up
- Etsy: Sale Date, usually already in your local timezone; Item Total, Shipping, and Etsy fees as separate columns, before tax; a numeric Order ID shared by every item in the same order. Also, listing titles are included in full and often contain commas, which can shift columns if opened carelessly in Excel.
- Squarespace: a Date column in ISO-like format; Subtotal, Discount, Shipping, and Total as separate columns; an Order ID that's a short alphanumeric code. Also, customer and shipping address fields are wide, so the money and date columns can end up far to the right of the sheet.
For multi-store reporting, that mismatch is exactly what causes hours of manual cleanup every period.
How to merge them in under a minute
- Open CSV Experts and set your target columns once (Date, Channel, Order ID, Total).
- Drop in your Etsy export and map its columns once.
- Drop in your Squarespace export and map it the same way — both merge into one sheet, normalized.
- Export as CSV or Excel. Same-layout files merge automatically next time.
FAQ
Does this upload my sales data anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript — your files are never sent to a server.
Does it work for more than two channels?
Yes. Add as many source files as you want; each distinct file layout is mapped once and remembered.
